OptiBuild privacy policy

Last updated: 26 October 2026. This policy applies to the OptiBuild Android app (package com.optibuild.app) provided by SK Software and Technologies, India.

In short

• Your business data stays on your phone. We do not run a server that receives it, and we cannot see it.
• We do not collect analytics, advertising identifiers or location, and we do not sell or share your data.
• If you choose to connect Google Drive, backups go only to your own Google Drive, locked with a password only you know.

Data the app handles

You enter business information into OptiBuild, such as projects, tasks, budgets, costs, supplier and customer names and contact details, invoices, payments, labour records, stock and photos of bills. All of it is stored in a database on your own phone. It is not sent to SK Software and Technologies or to any other party by the app.

The app also keeps, in your phone’s secure storage: your app lock PIN (as a salted hash), your license key and a Device ID that is worked out from your phone so a license key can be locked to it.

Backups and exports you make

You can create a password-protected, encrypted backup file and an Excel export, and share them with any app you choose. These files are created only when you ask, and what happens to them after you share them is up to you. If you forget a backup password, nobody, including us, can open the backup.

Google Drive backup (optional)

If you press “Connect Google account” in the Backup and restore screen, you sign in to Google in your browser. OptiBuild never sees your Google password.

• What the app asks for: the permission “See, edit, create and delete only the specific Google Drive files you use with this app” (the drive.file scope) and your email address, to show which account is connected. The app can access only the backup files it created itself in a folder called “OptiBuild Backups”. It cannot see any other file in your Drive.
• What the app does with it: uploads the encrypted backup file, lists the backups in that folder so you can restore one, downloads a backup you choose, and deletes the oldest backups when you ask it to keep only the last few.
• Where the data goes: directly from your phone to your own Google Drive. It does not pass through any server of ours. The backup is encrypted with your password before it leaves the phone, so Google stores a file that cannot be read without that password.
• What is stored on your phone: a Google sign-in token and, only if you switch on “Remember the backup password”, your backup password, both in the phone’s secure storage (Android Keystore) so that automatic backups can run. Nothing is kept anywhere else.
• How to stop: press “Disconnect Google account” in the app. This deletes the stored token and the remembered password and asks Google to remove the app’s access. You can also remove access at myaccount.google.com/permissions. Backups already in your Drive stay until you delete them there.

OptiBuild’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We use the Google data only to provide the backup and restore features you ask for. We do not use it for advertising, we do not transfer it to others, and no person at SK Software and Technologies can read it.

Permissions the app uses

• Internet: only for the optional Google Drive backup and sign-in. The app works fully offline without it.
• Camera and photos: only when you attach a photo of a bill or choose a logo.
• Fingerprint: only for the optional app lock.
• Network state: to check whether the phone is on Wi-Fi before an automatic backup.

Support messages

If you press Call, WhatsApp or Email on the Support card, the app opens that app with a message that contains the app version and license status. Nothing is sent unless you send it yourself.

Children

OptiBuild is a business tool and is not directed at children.

Your choices and deleting your data

Your data is on your phone, so you control it: you can export it, erase all data in Settings, or uninstall the app. We hold no copy to delete. For data you saved to Google Drive, delete the files in the “OptiBuild Backups” folder in your Drive.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy we will update the date above. Material changes will also be described in the app’s release notes.
